Rev Virginia Brown
The Rev. Virginia Dabney Brown grew up in New Mexico, studied physics and psychology in Michigan, served in the Peace Corps in Uganda before receiving her Master of Divinity at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, and did further graduate work in New Mexico, where she was ordained Deacon in 1974 and Priest in January 1977, the first woman priest in this part of the country. She has served congregations in New Mexico, Tennessee, and Missouri. She has served as Dean of two diocesan Schools of Ministry, and is currently on the faculty of the Bishop Kemper School for Ministry. Mother Virginia is a founding member and current Guardian of the Rivendell Community, a canonical religious Community of the Episcopal Church. She is the mother of three grown children (one of whom, the Rev. Elizabeth Dowell, is a priest in the Diocese of Texas) and grandmother of four.
The Rev. Virginia Dabney Brown has served congregations in New Mexico, Tennessee and Missouri during her 43 years of ordained ministry. She is the mother of three grown children and grandmother of four.
Our Nursery is open!
The Nursery at St Paul’s Woodville is open. Please bring your little one’s . Our nursery is led by Kara Standley. She is attending nursing school and will graduate May of 2018. The nursery is open from 8:45 am to 11:45 am every Sunday.
